A journey through Golf
Golf is more than a game. Its a sport with rich history, unmatched nuance, and an all-encompassing identity.
Our mission is to humbly represent this great game by chronicling our experiences in and around the world of Golf.
The course matters.
In any other sport, be it soccer, tennis, basketball, football, or hockey, the strategy of the game remains largely the same on whatever field or court it is played. Golf is different. Every course brings something new to the table. Thus, if you play a new course, you experience the game in a way you never have before.
The flagship of this blog will be The Course Journal, where our team documents and reviews the courses we play. These courses will be primarily in Central New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania, but courses in Florida, New England, and Ireland are also in the books with several more to come.
The first tee shot is always hard.
Golf’s depth and intricacies are part of what makes it so special. But it can also make starting out with golf quite hard. From complicated etiquette to expensive equipment, it can be daunting to make a go of golf if you don’t know where to start. As golfers who are relatively new to the game, we’ll talk through what helped us during our first few times and how our own games are developing in The Scorecard.
To fully appreciate golf, all of its facets have to be experienced.
While The Course Journal and The Scorecard are both going to be the hallmarks of AGWI, there will be some other topics I want to cover that don’t fit into either of those pages. From my thoughts on the Tour, equipment and apparel, my favorite players, and Golf social media, The Tour Bag is the home for pieces about the wider world of Golf.
